Thank You!

Hello! Today I am writing as a part of English assignment where my teacher told me to write regarding your 'compliment' to someone else, whether you want to thank them for their deeds or etc. So right now I am going to write a compliment to my English teacher herself, Mrs. Wiwin Herawati.

I am going to start with thank you for this whole year Ms! Starting from when I first step foot on X IPA 7, and meeting you. I cannot narrate every good deeds that my dear teacher had done to me or my class because It would be never ending and infinite, so, I'll write some of them which are quite the main points.

First to all the knowledge that you shared to us, all the lessons, all the assignments and all the projects, which I can assure you that it is all for our own good. I very much learned many things from these lessons and assignments, from the subject itself, to how I manage myself to do it accordingly and in a discipline way, its all because of you, I am now a more organized person!

Secondly, to the lectures you give every morning to remind us to be a better person and act correspondingly to the rules. You kept on saying that we should ask other teachers what assignments have we not done, and the scores that are below average so we can keep up with the subjects and not fall behind. And you always remind us to not break the rules, and that we had to act appropriately, etc. Although it may seem that my face at the time you lecture is quite bored, but honestly, I can still remember the advices you give to me and the whole class, and it made quite a place in my memory. With that, I can assure you, that it has made me a better person overall.

Finally, to your love towards me and my class. How you cared about everyone, how you cared about our activities, our extra curricular, our scores, assignments RMPs and SPs, and almost everything we do in school. You don't neglect us, you still remind us to do certain things, and not forget to do certain things, just for our own good. It all resembles how a really kind person you are! So I would like to thank you for all of the experience this year, for all your sacrifice, for all your love and your endless assignments. I can now adapt with the school, and am a much better person than I were before.

Once again, Thanks Mrs Wiwin!

DEWA ATHENA IX

Hello! Today I'm going to tell you about one of the events that is held in my school, Dewa Athena!

Dewa Athena is a sport competition held in SMAN 3 Bandung by the members of OSIS Sie 7. Dewa Athena is actually an abbreviation in Indonesia for "Olimpiade Siswa/Siswi Ajang Untuk Bakat dan Kemampuan" or "Olympic for students' talents and abilities" mostly focused on sports. It was held on 23rd - 25th of March and then followed with 1st of April and 8th of April. The 23rd - 24th of March is for the 11th Graders, while 25th of March and 1st of April were for the 10th Graders. Last is the 8th of April which is exclusively for the Grand Finals. There were 8 sports that were competed, which were; Futsal, Basketball, Volleyball, Dodgeball, Relay, Tug of War, Badminton and Gobak Sodor.

I myself am a committee of the event. I were at the logistics division, and I was the person-in-charge for the Tug of War in the soccer field. The first two days were the seniors' competition, so I didn't really know a lot of people besides my OSIS seniors, good thing is that I wasn't the only 10th Grade committee, a few of my friends were also present at that time.

The competition for the 10th Graders were at Saturday, 25th of March. This was where the fun began. Well, I didn't really know how the opening was and etc. because I came late teehee. My friends said that there were like Olympic torches igniting sort of thing to imitate a real Olympic event. I personally registered for 3 competitions which were Dodgeball, Basketball, and Gobak Sodor. Oh, about Gobak Sodor, its kind of like a tower defence with humans, where the person defending needs to touch the person invading the territory.

As I arrived, my friends said that they have won several competitions; Female's Futsal, Relay, and Tug of War. I was really happy because they said that so far, they have won every single competition. However, when we just finished Tug of War, we got bad news from the Male's Double for Badminton, that they had lost. It was our first loss of today, but we still have a lot of upcoming matches so that doesn't put our spirit down. But then, after the Tug of War and Badminton there is this Male's Futsal, and we were against a really good competitor, X IPA 6 which has past winners of Futsal competitions in their Junior High School. Sadly, we lost, but that is also anticipated because we all know that they would have won anyways.

The next competition was Volleyball. We were up against an also good competitor, but we ourselves have good players for the Volleyball. However the problem is that both Male and Female are mixed, and because our Female players are not as good, it was quite difficult. But we won anyways yay. And then after this, the Dodgeball match follows. My class were already tired, its even hard for me to persuade them to play. I joined the match this time, and we lost. But no worries though because there is still 3 more competitions left for today.

Moving on is Female's Futsal, again. We have 2 good contenders who can actually play futsal, but on the other team, there is this one girl who is crazy good at playing sports. We put up a really good fight, but we lost. And at this point we were starting to lose our spirit. The next competition was Female's Badminton. I'm going to be honest our team has the best player for Female's Badminton, but again this is a Female's Double, and since her teammate is not as good, it kind of put us up on stake aswell. Our opponent is really good, I mean, both of the players are well balanced at playing Badminton, so it is really nervous to watch it. Aaaaand we won! Well it was a mixture of luck and the fact that one of our players is just really THAT good, but we almost lose btw.

Last competition was Basketball. But, it was scheduled at 15.30 or 16.00 so we all are like, "Ugh, lets just be disqualified for this one competition" and so no one showed up at the time of the competition, and we had to pay Rp. 100.000 as the sanction for not being present. That was all about Dewa Athena, the next competition is at 1st April, we are going to play Gobak Sodor, moving up in relay, female's badminton, and volleyball. Hope my class can win it all!

That's all from me today, thanks for your attention, Goodbye!

My Holiday

Hello there everyone! I'm back from my holiday today, and right now i'm going to tell you what I did on my holiday.

I'm going to start with where did I go on my last holiday. My official holiday date starts from 23rd of December to 9th of January, but I started my own holiday before 23rd of December because after the Final Test, I had some remedial and assignments that I had to submit but I've completed them all. So, my first kind of "holiday" was me, watching Incarnate with my friends in PVJ mall. But before that, I also played in a kid zone where there are trampolines with my friends. It was REALLY fun, but I got to keep my cool as a Senior High School student, so I didn't stay there very long, teehee.

A few days after that, I went to watch Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them, and Star Wars: Rogue One in a cinema in BEC Mall with my friends. We had so much fun, and I was really hyped with those two movies so I was satisfied that I got to watch it.

After that my days become kind of dull. Everyday was the same, I wake up, eat breakfast, take a bath and play games or watch movies on my laptop. But the one thing that I most remember on this period was that every 5 o'clock and every midnight I have this family time where I get to watch movies with my family. Some of the movies are not that great but to spend time with my whole family was really great. And the fact that all of my family members were present, makes me thank God for this moment.

The following days are the same, until New Years! Finally an end to 2016 and a hello to 2017, but I got to be honest, I mean, there is nothing to celebrate since everything is going to be the same anyway, its just a change in time, a change in something we invent, there's actually no major change in between but, it could be used as a 'new chapter' in our life or to change ourselves to a better self. It motivates people to do so, at least.

However, I didn't celebrate New Years because the next day, I had to wake up early at 4 o'clock for my train to Jakarta (Yay! I actually went somewhere out of this town) so yeah, and my friends also had a New Years sleepover which I didn't join for the same reason.

I stayed in Jakarta for a day because I went there just to pick up my aunt, but it was fun, because we ate on a restaurant in a mall called Mall Taman Anggrek and the food tastes reallllly realllly good. And then we watch a movie at Senayan City Mall. We watched Assassin's Creed. The movie was quite weird for me but the action is cool and the movie effects are really great, I enjoyed it overall.

The next couple of days were a count down to the end of holiday, a horror for all students out there, However, they were usual days, I did my routine, eat, play, sleep, I mean not much really happened. And there isn't anything left to tell so, thats all about my holiday, how about yours? Did you go anywhere or did something big happened? I would love to hear about it in the comments.

I guess that's all for today, See you on my next post, Goodbye!

Michel de Nostradame

Hello guys! Today I'm going to write a biography about Nostradamus. Here it is.

The French Seer

Childhood

Michel de Nostradame, more commonly known as Nostradamus was born on 14 or 21 of December 1503 in Saint-Remy-de-Provence in the south of France, Michel de Nostredame was one of at least nine children of Reyniere de Saint-Remy and Jaume de Nostredame. The latter's family had originally been Jewish, but Jaume's father, Guy Gassonet, had converted to Catholicism around 1455, taking the Christian name "Pierre" and the surname "Nostredame" (the latter apparently from the saint's day on which his conversion was solemnized).

Student Years

At the age 15, he entered University of Avignon for his baccalaureate, however he was forced to leave Avignon due to an outbreak of a plague. Nostradamus then traveled the countryside for eight years reasearching herbal remedies. Then, in 1529, at the age 26, he entered University of Montpellier to study doctorate in medicine. He then became an apothecary and become famous for creating a medicine to protect from the plague.

Seer

After another visit to Italy, he move away from medicine and toward the occult. Wrote an almanac in the year 1550 and was encouraged to write one or more annualy. Taken together, they are known to have contained at least 6,338 prophecies, as well as at least eleven annual calendars, all of them starting on 1 January and not, as is sometimes supposed, in March. He then began his project of writing a book of one thousand mainly French quatrains, which constitute the largely undated prophecies for which he is most famous today. The book was then published with the title Les Porpheties (The Prophecies)

A few examples of his prophecies that came true are, Nagasaki and Hiroshima atomic bombs.

Prediction:

"Near the gates and within two cities
There will be scourges the like of which was never seen,
Famine within plague, people put out by steel,
Crying to the great immortal God for relief."

What really happened: In early August 1945 the United States dropped two atomic weapons on the island of Japan, in (within two cities) Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

The suffering endured by those in the blast and the radiation poisoning suffered by those who escaped the immediate detonation (Crying to the great immortal God for relief).

And, the 11th September 2001 terrorist attack.

Prediction:

"Earthshaking fire from the center of the Earth
Will cause tremors around the New City.
Two great rocks will war for a long time,
Then Arethusa will redden a new river."

What happened: On the morning of September 11, 2001 the two towers (two great rocks) of the World Trade Center were attacked in New York City (New City).

These are however, some, of his predictions that came true. There are also some of his predictions that have not/ does not come true, that might be delayed or won't happen at all. The rest of his prophecies are in the Les Propheties book.

Final Years and Death

By 1566, Nostradamus' gout, which had plagued him painfully for many years and made movement very difficult, turned into edema, or dropsy. On the evening of July 1, he is alleged to have told his secretary Jean de Chavigny, "You will not find me alive at sunrise." The next morning he was reportedly found dead, lying on the floor next to his bed and a bench. He was buried in the local Franciscan chapel in Salon but re-interred during the French Revolution in the CollŽgiale Saint-Laurent, where his tomb remains to this day.

As Venice gradually developed, it became a prominent player in the sea trade of the time. It was set upon by many different threats. Pirates became the hugest problem. Fewer and fewer shipments were making it through the treacherous water. It happened when the Republic of Venice decided to move the operations to the eastern shores.
